Agents Weigh In: Favorite Staycation

Vacation is always a great idea, but sometimes traveling is not. Check out our agent’s favorite ways to vacation right here in Colorado!

Lindsey: We are offseason people, so we love to go to Breckenridge in the summer and stay at Peak 8. In the winter we head up to Estes Park and avoid the ski traffic!

Kenya: The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs! It’s a little pricey but beautiful setting, amazing spa and world famous golf course!

Beth: Grab an Airbnb in Estes Park! Enjoy ice cream downtown, bbq from Smokin’ Daves, drinks at The Stanley and hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park!

Amy: As a family, we like to stay at the Grand Timber Lodge in Breckenridge where we can relax in the hot tub and play in the pool. I also love to spend the day at the Spa at the Four Seasons Hotel in Downtown Denver with my girlfriends, drinking wine and hanging out at the pool.

Hilary: We love to go to Aspen in the Fall to do some leaf peeping. When we really want to treat ourselves, our favorite place to stay is Hotel Jerome. Getting a hotel room somewhere in the city and playing tourist for the day is also fun, especially if they have a great restaurant (and in the summer, a pool!) –  The Halcyon Hotel in Cherry Creek offers a date night package which is great.

Laura: Camping in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Christina: With two little ones I have to say Great Wolf Lodge– lots of fun for the family! For a getaway with my husband Garden of the Gods Resort– incredible views, great spa, delicious food, and Kissing Camels Golf Course!

Emily: Devil’s Thumb Ranch in Tabernash. They have fun activities for every season and Winter Park is just down the road. Plus their spa is amaaaazing.

Andre: Steamboat Springs! It’s a drive, but the seclusion makes it the last true “mountain town” left (in my opinion). Summer you can fish, hike, float the river, and golf! In the winter, it’s obviously an amazing mountain to ski, but you can also enjoy all the festivals, food, and hot springs!

McKenna: I like Glenwood Springs and enjoying Iron Mountain Hot Springs especially in the winter when it’s snowing outside!

Mandi: River Run Resort! With two little ones, we have a blast here.

Heading to the mountains is an obvious choice for many of our agents if you want to learn more about the Rocky Mountains, including notable hikes check out this blog post from Mountian IQ!
